NIMESULIDE: Pediatric preparations are banned. But this was stayed by Madras High Court. This drug is not banned globally but banned in UK, USA ect. Available in France and many other countries. Definitely this should be banned for pediatric (children below 12 yrs.) use. This has good pain relief action. But many doctors do not use this any more.
Proper awareness among the public can stop sale of the drug. They should tell the doctor that they do not need the drug.

If these drugs are harmful kindly write to the government of India why they are allowed in India. If no satisfactory explanation is given to you by the government, please ask them under RTI Act 2005. You will get a reply. If necessary also file a PIL in a court of law.
