When you become addict to smoking all this positive exercises will not have any bearing.  Every smoker is totally aware of the nigotine effect in your body.  But the urge overrule every efforts to stop smoking.  It requires enormous will power to do it.  As a smoker myself from my age of 18 ( now I am on 75), I wads an addict.  Despite undergoing angioplasty, I continued the habit after 3 months.  I concede that i am still under this habit- but smokes 2 cigarettes a day, four time.  When I smoke half of the cigarette, I cut it with scissor and keep the unsmoked portion for my next dose.  I repeat this again for the evening.  I know what I am doing is silly but could not stop it.  Once you are addict, you have to have enormous will power.
