Hi Mahesh, I used to smoke more than 5pkts a day for over 25 years and wanted to stop. At first I had the same problem as you had. But for the last 15 years, I haven't smoked a single cigarette. It took me almost 6 years to really quit smoking. At times, I could stop for 6 or 7 months at a stretch, but back to square one after that. I even tried by cutting down the number of cigarette in take, step-by-step. Did not work for me. Tell everyone you know that you are quitting this bad habit. Do not count the number of days you went with out smoking Ask everyone not to offer you a cigarette at any occasion. These tips helped me. No one can make you quit smoking, only you can. I guess you have the will to do it, and that is the most important thing. Once you achieve your goal, you will be only happy that you did it! I should say never give up. Enjoy a cigaretteless life. All the best! dvs
