     HOW TO DEVELOP CONFIDENCE

     1.   Formulate a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Never permit this picture to fade and never doubt the reality of

this image no matter how bad  the circumstances you are in.

              2.  Whenever a negative thought concerning your personal powers comes to mind,

deliberately voice a positive thought to cancel it out.

            3.   Do not build obstacles in your imagination. Difficulties must be studied and

efficiently eliminated. They must not be inflated by fear thoughts.

      4.   Chart out a daily routine suitable to your lifestyle. Write it in a diary and follow it

as a regular habit. For example:-

                                                5.30 a.m.-6.00 a.m .    = Waking up and doing morning chores

                                                                                                Drink a glass of water

6.00 a.m.-6.30 a.m .     = Morning exercise and then again drink at least two

glasses of water. Have a fresh morning bath.

6.30 a.m.-7.00 a.m.      = Pray to God and then plan all activities for the day.

7.00 a.m.-7.30 a.m.       = News paper reading (nowadays it is net browsing) and breakfast.

                                                            ---------- and so on -----------

6.     Do not be awe-struck by other people and copy them.  Nobody can be you as efficiently  as "You".

7.     Repeat these dynamic words loudly many times "If God be for us who can be against us" (ie Romans chp 8: vs 31)

8.    Repeat also the following words loudly many times "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens  me" (ie,

       Philippians chp 4: VS 13)

9.     Make an estimate of your own ability, then raise it 10 percent.  Believe in your more God-released  powers.

10.    Put yourself in God's hands by stating, "I am in God's hands and the kingdom of God is within me".  Believe that

you are receiving all the power needed to face all of life's challenges.

    11.    A very important task is to study the cause of any of your inferiority and self- doubt feelings.  These are normally attained

during childhood.  Try to understand them and undertake a self-cure. It may be difficult but always be calm and  evaluate

each issue at a time. Then analyze the cause and  think of the remedies.  If your efforts are unsuccessful you should get

the assistance of a  counselor (someone trustworthy).

- EXCERPTS FROM NORMAN VINCENT PEALE)

INGREDIENTS TO IMPROVE  ONE'S CAPABILITIES

 Ability

Ability alone is not enough for success. It must be sparked by

ambition and sustained by integrity and determination. Many an

able person fails to achieve anything worthwhile, because he or she

just doesn't care. Many who do not care loose because they cannot be trusted, and others who are able, ambitious and trustworthy simply

give up too soon. It is essential that the four work horses for success –ABILITY,AMBITION,INTEGRITY and DETERMINATION pull together

as a team until their work is done.

Self Esteem

Self esteem (self-respect, feeling of self –worth) is how you feel about  yourself. People with high self esteem like themselves, feel warm and  loving towards themselves. They have a positive opinion about who

they are as a person. The better you feel about yourself, the easier it

is to impart feelings of respect and esteem to others namely co-workers, customers, family members, friends and seniors.

Setting Goals

A goal is something you strive to attain. It is an aim, a purpose,a

target, a mission, an ambition or an objective. Goals provide you

 purpose and direction in life.

How to improve One's Memory

1.     Revise what you learn as soon as possible.

2.   Observe closely and accurately.

3.   Be interested in what you are trying to learn.

4.   Make sure that you understand it properly.

5.    Learn it by studying in convenient " wholes".

6.   Spread your learning over a number of shorter periods rather than learning  it in a single long period.

7.    Be confident in your ability to remember what you want to learn.

THOUGHTS TO PONDER

Who is poor ?
A wealthy woman goes to a saree store and tells the boy at the counter
"Bhaiya show some cheap Sarees. It is my son's marriage and
I have to give to my maid."

After sometime, the maid comes to the Saree shop and tells the boy at the counter
"Bhaiya show some expensive Sarees. I want to gift my Mistress on her son's marriage"
Poverty is in the mind or in the purse?

Who is Rich ?
Once, a lady with her family was staying in a 3-star hotel for a picnic.
She was the mother of a 6 month old baby.
"Can I get 1 cup of milk?" asked the lady to the 3-star hotel manager.
"Yes madam", he replied.
"But it will cost 10 bucks". "No problem", said the lady.
While driving back from hotel, the child was hungry again.
They stopped at a road side tea stall and took milk from the tea vendor
"How much?" she asked the tea vendor.
"Madam, we don't charge money for kid's milk", the old man said with a smile.
"Let me know if you need more for the journey". The lady took one more cup and left.

She wondered, "Who's richer?
The hotel manager or the old tea vendor?

Sometimes, in the race for more money, we forget that we are all humans.
Let's help someone in need, without expecting something in return.
It will make us feel better than what money can.

Coffee never knew that it would taste so nice and sweet, before it met milk and sugar.
We are good as individuals but become better when
we meet and blend with the right people....
