Believe in Yourself! Once you believe in yourself and see your soul as divine and precious, you'll automatically be converted to a being who can create miracles. God is in the sadness and the laughter,  in the bitter and the sweet. There is a divine purpose behind everything — and therefore a divine presence in everything. To learn the secret of right relations, look only for the divine in people and things,  and leave all the rest to God. We are Divine enough to ask, and we are important enough to receive. Love all of God's creation, the whole of it and every grain of sand. Love every leaf, every ray of God's light! Love the animals,  love the plants, love everything.  If you love everything, you will soon perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole  world with an all-embracing love. I believe that the first test of a truly great man is his humility.  I do not mean by humility, doubt of his own powers.  But really great men have a curious feeling that the greatness is not in them, but through them.  And they see something divine in every other man and are endlessly, foolishly, incredibly merciful. Everything we call a trial, a sorrow, or a duty,  believe me... the gift is there and the wonder of an overshadowing presence. Our joys too -- be not content with them as joys. They too, conceal diviner gifts. We look at some people as if they  were special, gifted,divine. Nobody is special and gifted  and divine. No more than you are, no more than I am.  The only difference, the very only one,  is that they have begun to understand what they really are and have begun to practice it. To the poet, to the philosopher, to the saint, all things are friendly and sacred, all events profitable, all days holy, all men divine. When people bother you in any way, it is because their souls are trying to get your divine attention and your blessing.
