What you convey is very true. Many public sector undertakings were paying CPF in lieu of Pension. Likewise many pravasis returned long back had put their savings as Bank deposit and drawing the interest for their day to day life. Few years back an amount of Ra 10000 was more than enough for luxury life. Today the amount is not enough for their subsistence. Most of them are now super seniors and am finding hard to meet their subsistence and medical needs.
Unfortunately all governments are considering only the existing employees and retirees. They are least bothered of other citizens who have no salary or pension. Most countries have well defined social security schemes for these super seniors, but in India they are supposed to suffer
