9 Signs and Simptoms of Vitamin D Deficiency (and How to Get More)

Are you getting enough vitamin D? If you shun the sun, you may be at risk for vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D, also known as the sunshine vitamin, is produced by the body in response to skin being exposed to sunlight. You can also get this vitamin from supplements and foods, such as some fish, fish liver oils, egg yolks and in fortified dairy, cereals and grain products. Vitamin D receptors have been found in many parts of the brain. Having low vitamin D levels has been linked to depression.

7. Overweight:

Researxh shows vitamin D deficiency is associated with both developing obesity and the risk of obesity related complications. Vitamin D supplementation helps weight loss in obese and overweight patients with vitamin D deficiency.

8. Gut Issues:

Vitamin D deficiency can also leave many people with digestive problems.

9. Allergies:

Research shows that vitamin D deficiency also has a role to play in the development of allergy.
