Preamble of our Constitution—Dignity of the Citizen
In the preamble or foundation, of our constitution, more important than the basic features of our Constitution, in fact the most vital part of us as a nation—is embedded the objective—dignity of the citizen. It is the justification of the very birth of the Indian nation.
One can keep one's dignity or respect and self respect, self esteem, self pride as a part of pride in the nation, only when one has money in one's pocket. A beggar cannot have respect or dignity. He/She must be able to save. The opportunity and the right to save is more important than the fundamental rights. It is the freedom from the compulsion to be dishonest, to feel secure about the future. A person who is dishonest can only bluff, cannot have an honest view. The very quality of the citizens when forced into day today dishonesty will be very low. In a black money economy, dishonesty becomes the basic currency of every transaction, discourse, discussion, debate and ultimately thought. People become cowards, as the motivation to dedicate and sacrifice is removed. There will be only oxymorons with Hyde displaying Jekyll as a mask.
When one is simply not allowed to save, one cannot save one's honesty, or dignity or self respect. The chronic disease has very simple symptom. The rate of inflation is more than the rate of interest, making the so called bank interest a fake income. The legalized falsehood that it is an income to be included in the taxable income, has made saving in the banks suicidal. The fraud is aggravated by taking only the wholesale prices in estimating the inflation, and by ignoring the consumer end prices. Without batting an eye lid the finance minister asserts that inflation has come down. The net effect is that people are forced into the tax-less black money economy. They are thus saving the capital value of their savings also and thus their dignity as individuals. Membership in the black money economy has become essential to protect one's dignity. The systemic problem is, in our country the price of land can only sky rocket, dwindling the value of money continuously. The interest bearing bonds like the Fixed deposits which are tied to an unchanging numerical figure lose their real value totally. As assets the interest bearing savings fail totally, the FDs become shells with nil value. Now those who depend on their savings in Fixed Deposits in banks are totally demoralized. They are living on their capital and they simply do not have income. AND THAT FAKE INCOME IS INCLUDED IN THE TAXABLE INCOME!
One freak phenomenon of oppression is, those who suffer the oppression become so demoralized that they begin defending the oppression. That is the feature of what is called brain washing. The brain washed person feels very guilty to assert his rights. AND THERE WILL BE RELIGIOUS DISCOURSERS AMONG THEM WHO LIKE THE LOYAL SLAVES CASTIGATE THOSE THAT ASK FOR THEIR DIGNITY.THESE PEOPLE DISPLAY GREAT SCHOLARSHIP, ADEPTS IN IGNORING THE BASIC PROBLEM. These people get the position of followers of those in power, always on the look out to suppress and ridicule any life of assertion in rights. Demoralization has become the discourse---the spiritualism of the chronic or genetic serf. These people want discussion on some other problem, want the topic to be buried and pretend that this problem does not exist.
Inflation is actually the ever increasing demoralization corroding the basic spirit and quality of the people. THE FIRST STEP TO SAVE THE DIGNITY OF THE CITIZEN, TO OBEY THE PREAMBLE IS TO REMOVE THE ITEM INTEREST FROM THE LIST OF TAXABLE INCOMES. Calling that so called interest, an income is a joke.But we have escape artists who emit spiritualism by the ton, a wonderful method of escaping from the reality of putting up with bluff.
