Thanks for your kind mail and the sound advice. I shall certainly keep it in mind. I am really interested in getting educated about the disease and all its ramifications. I was interested to know of any good source of such info as suitable for a layman.

If you are diagnosed to be having carcinoma the doctor himself would have told you what it is and where the disease is. Better follow the advice of the doctor whom you have seen now. He is the right person to advise you. This type of social media is not the place to search of the answer. Do not go with the advice that somebody's somebody got cure from a Swamiji with his divine powder etc. Please note that except in Modern medicine no other branch in health care delivery system has done any research worth mentioning for cure of this disease. You may see the mention of "Ashwagandha". One person who had the treatment with this drug was found to have the disease process arrested and this was blown out of propositions by press and visual media. Unless this drug undergoes clinical trials as prescribed by latest norms of WHO or other competent bodies and found to be effective in treatment of Cancer never go for it, as you are losing the precious time in proper treatment. Please note early cancer treatment is a sure way of getting rid of the disease or having a near normal life with the disease process. Modern chemotherapy and radio therapy has shown drastic changes in the approach of treatment of cancer is concerned. Do not lose hope... Go for proper diagnosis and follow up treatment...Dr.Sundaram
