Dear Assaram,
We get confused by this sayings. I am an aasthmatic attacked patient. Certain people says that citrus fruit juices can be had by adding hot water in it. It will not affect the wheezing problem or harm to the patient at any cost. Also to add some honey or karupatti instead of sugar. Doctors advice not to take jaggery. But I am little bit confused whether to take it or not. It is not the age to experiment with the body whether it accepts or not. please guide me properly that whether I can take citrus fruits or not. There should be a guarantee that it will not aggrevate the problem further because once if admitted to hospital an amount to the tune of 50000/- gone if it got attacked.
replyhighly appeciable.
Thanks and Regards,

Dear Ramachandran,
It is best avoided. In fact for Asthma patients, Acidity and kapha formation are the biggest threats which lead to Asthma attacks. In fact it would be better to avoid all citrous fruits such as oranges, Mosambi, lemon etc as all these would trigger Asthma. However during peak summer you can have these.
