Pornography!

I have few patients who have severe mental disorder because of viewing – addicted to pornography. This discussion is much required for parents of adolesant and children. So that one can keep watch over their children.

Pornography is description or display of sexual organs or activity. In Pornography children and teenagers are most unwelcomed but now they are the most participants because of their high interest and entertaining value. Its trap, worst trap that affects young minds the most. Ultimately they spoil their carrier and parents do not know at all. Only prevention that works is an education about it. If your child is above 16 and playing more with computer or mobile more than required -   think that they might be addicted to Pornography

After a vast usage of information and communication devices like internet, smart phones, tablets, satellite discs etc it has penetrated much deeper in the society than one can think. Present social attitudes has made sexuality scene really getting worst.

It is a matter of social concern. Like smoking, alcohol or other illicit substance use, it not only harms the individuals, but has harmful effects on those around them and society.

Pornography is addictive and may result into sort of compulsion that interferes with daily life. It may proceed towards having compulsion to watch it at any cost for stimulation, pleasure or satisfaction. It is beyond voluntary control! It can lead to anti-social attitudes and behavior. It promotes myths and psycho-sexual disorders. Male viewers tend to be more aggressive towards women and learn to treat them as sexual object only than an equally important human being. this definitely spoils marriage relationship.  It has serious adverse effects on beliefs about sexuality in general and on attitudes. Then person experience conflict, suffering, and sexual dissatisfaction. Ultimate result is failure and mental disorder.

Pornography has difficulties in concentrating in other tasks (students lack concentration in studies), becomes aggressive, it then causes disturbance of any mental activities, disinterest and boredom, shame, guilt, fear or even nightmares.

Pornography uses lot of camera techniques, Computer-generated images and digital manipulations which makes wrong ideas about timing of act – size of male sexual organ, - length on sex organs… etc. .  So pornography makes person much away from reality.  It promotes myths about men and women's body, timings and vigor of sexual act, disacceptance of normal acts and sexual activity. It can also lead to premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction or delayed orgasm. It may reduce one's interest in actual act and end up in more interest in watching it to get desired satisfaction.

Addicted to porn avoid study or work - remain irritated or restless. They hide your porn habit from your friends and family.
the fact is no age is immune to pornography. However, because of ignorance, lack of experience, curiosity, impulsivity and immaturity children and teens are more affected by its negative effects. Moreover, one is more likely to hook to forbidden things and so they are.

One has to seriously getting rid of pornography, psychological counseling by NLP methods are only answer. Usually 2 to 3 counseling are required to get rid of problems.

Self-control is the prime requirement if one wishes to come out of the trap. Be engage into more meaningful activities, which may require loads of efforts; at least initially. Exercise helps much more.  Finally, never hesitate to take psychiatrist's help when one fails to acquire control on their own. NLP techniques and hypnotherapy can only get cure.
