Conceptual Changes—the Butterfly Effect!   The concept of God created the basic reverence for nature, a nature that helps, saves, promotes, enchants, promotes love, the eye for beauty, the pleasant and happy mother that subsumes and absorbs... The people chanted that God is everywhere. The motivation of scio, or to know, which the root word for science is, must have led to the study of ecology, as an extension of the God concept. There were the River Gods, the Mountain Gods, the Rain God, the Sun God...all of them accompanied by angels. People studied nature by actually feeling nature and not by indulging in the symbolic or map knowledge. The illiterate and Degreeless savage knew every aspect of the nature in which he lived and adored, in fact lived the macro life wherein his nervous system functioned in symbiosis with nature. He in fact lived as a macro body as a part of nature, as a part of nature's anatomy. The adoration or Bhakthi made him the great Bhaktha, propelling him to build great temples in inaccessible regions, at the peaks of great mountains, create architectural wonders, traverse the seas,deserts,icy wastes...,making him feel the ecology. The concept of God created the great butterfly effect of devotion, study through feeling, study by song, dance, sculpture, painting..., all involving the essence of his personality as creativity. The effect was that of the intransitive verb, the great verb effect remaining with him. He developed the Godly aura, light radiating from him. But now we are dominated by the dismal science—economics, which has eaten and killed ecology. Instead of God is everywhere, we have the new marketer's slogan---Bacteria and virus are everywhere. Nature no longer is for adoration, it is for sterilization. The negative butterfly effect has taken over. Nature no longer is God, it is just economic resource.Forests, rivers, lakes, mountains, plains, valleys, waterfalls, the flora and fauna, everything..., is just a resource. The net effect is, that entire nature—land, water, air and space are polluted and poisoned. At the personal level the Holistic language of feeling is lost and the hopelessly limited language of words, based on the narrow visible spectrum, has coerced its way into one's thought process. Strangely the so called unbiased outlook has changed into an outlook divorced from nature. Simply put, the unbiased outlook is divorced outlook. Slyly the science ecology is discarded, though some lip sympathy is given. But it is made subservient to economics.
