Dear Brothers Sisters of Soldier Community,
The more you hear of the statements of PM, RM and FM on OROP, you get the impression that they are shamelessly mouthing lies over and over like Nazis hoping world will believe them. Unfortunately some of our own brothers and sisters of veteran community have fallen into the trap of BJP and believing we have been granted OROP. Such innocent veterans are saying we must be grateful to NDA - II Govt. All the spokespersons of BJP in the TV panel discussions on suicide of Sub Ramkishan Grewal of Haryana on 02 Nov 2016 have been repeating the same lies that OROP has been implemented. Let me tell all of you what has been given and what we should get. Let me compare and then you will realise how right royally PM, FM and RM are taking all of us for a ride with their lies all the time.
I would have also praised BJP Govt if they honestly admitted that they are not in a position to grant OROP but have given one time increase which will increase pensions due to financial constraints. But calling one time increase as OROP is totally unacceptable. I am happy the country has now realised BJP has fooled faujis.

After RRM giving definition of OROP on the floor of the Lok Sabha in Dec 2015 that it is same pension for same rank for same length of service and passing on benefits to past pensioners, NDA – II with help of bureaucrats twisted OROP as one time increase. Pension Equalisation.OROP means to any Class V student, equalisation every year and not once in five years. Will pensions in 2021 of soldiers retiring is same as pre – 2014 pensioners? Answer is NO. Then why call this as OROP? One Time Increase. UPA I II also increased pensions in Jan 2006, Jul 2009 and 24 Sep 2012. Did it mean they granted OROP three times? As per BJP's understanding of OROP, then UPA- I II gave OROP three times. One Time Increase of equalising pensions is not OROP Sir. How to fix OROP. JCOs and OR were fixed pension at the maximum of scale w.e.f Jul 2009 to Jun 2014. The NDA – II fixed at Average of Maximum and Minimum of pension of those who retired in calendar year 2013. What is the significance of 2013? Nothing but only to fool pensioners. Date of Effect of OROP.UPA – II and NDA – II approved OROP in their respective budgets of 2014. The budget commences in Apr 2014. Where as the arrears are paid w.e.f. Jul 2014 on false ground that they came to power on May 26, 2014. Did NDA – II collect taxes only from Jul 2016 or from Apr 2014? |

| How is OROP related to Length of Service for Disabled Soldiers and Widows of Soldiers who died in service of the country? The OROP of NDA-II links length of service to the pension for widows and disabled solider totally twisting OROP. This has resulted in widows of post – 2014 young soldiers will get much lesser pension than those who retired earlier. |
2 | We have disbursed OROP and only 1, 50,313 are yet to get OROP arrears | Banks have informed that PCDA (Pensions) Allahabad have issued instructions not to pay OROP arrears unless there is group, length of service and rank in the PPO. I have advised RM to give instructions to pay arrears at minimum of group i.e Y so that all pensioners who are in receipt of pension till Jul 2014 get some arrears of OROP. Cannot you understand if a pensioner gets his pension then he has served for minimum period? Why should still 1.5 lakh pensioners not given pension? If they have used their little brains, Sub Ram Kishan Grewal of Bhiwani, Haryana would not have committed suicide as he was not paid OROP arrears. Will action be taken against PSAs who have not given group X or Y or qualifying serivce of such 1.5 lakh soldiers to the banks? Will action be taken against PSAs for not issuing Corr PPOs whenever pensions are enhanced giving all latest details? |
