Re: [World Malayali Club] old notes

There is only one way – that of sending these through friends travelling to India and getting it exchanged before 31 DEC 16. Of course thereafter these could be exchanged in RBI branches in cities. This might be a hassle but inescapable. My Daughter went to Indian Embassy and SBI branch in DC but was refused exchange. She sent it through friends visiting India.

Subject: [World Malayali Club] old notes

Some of my friends working abroad have some old Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 notes around six or seven thousndas (which they use when they come to india). They do not have any plan to visit India before 31/3/2017 the last date for changing them in RBI. In this case how to exchange them. Can any memeber know the guide lines. Please inform if there is any leagal way of exchanging them.
