Mutual Study and Inter-action!   When you take up a topic for study and contemplation, the most fundamental point to be kept in view is that the subject matter also is studying you and interacting with you. The subject matter is not an inanimate feeling-less unchanging body of passages, but actually, a living window into whom and with whom you are first peeping and then entering a lively world of co-voyage. The subject matter is not a machine. The subject matter is a very dignified and respectable person who demands respect and attention. The subject is not an'it', but must, must, must, must... be treated as 'he' or 'she'. I am not poetic or entering into some fantasy here. That the subject is a person is a reality is a fundamental fact. When you do anything millions of particles, atoms, molecules...interact with you, and all of them constitute as the subject of study. If you show reverence and great respect to the subject, paying attention to every minute point, then every particle participating with you will help you and both of you—you and the subject matter together achieve a lot. You are part of the subject matter and study always is combined study. And the 'you' are also billions and billions of interacting and even met morphing particles. The worst insult one can heap on a subject is to treat the subject as one useful only for making money. The subject refuses to be a slave, a slave is one used and abused for making money only without any emotional partnership. Commercial outlook is the worst crime in any study. When someone tries to define you, whether you notice or not, you try to free yourself from that prison-the definition. The most important aspect of the Universe is the total refusal of the Universe to be defined and confined. You define because you want the definition to be the connecting base for understanding. But what Quantum Physics has clearly stated is that the biggest blunder is trying to define and then confine a subject in that prison-the definition. One must learn to flow and not get confined to definitions. The subject matter of study or co-voyage in enlightenment is always ever changing not even three dimensional, but like the thought or consciousness the subject matter too is actually an extension of the same consciousness. I always read three or more books simultaneously. Now after getting the book by M.R.Subramanian—The Art of Seeing, I also again pulled out from my shelf two other books—Uncommon Wisdom by Fritzof Kapra and The Spectrum of Consciousness by Ken Wilber. Where we all four—me, Subramanian, Capra and Wilber will go, I cannot tell now. It is a co-voyage.
