Sir,
You and Indian Railways deserve congratulations for introduction of Gatiman Express trains between Nizammuddin Railway to station and Agra Cantonement said to run at the rate of 160 kilometres per hour.
In this context, I would like to point out that all the so-called High Speed trains are running only in Northern India and they connect New Delhi/Harat Nizammuddin to UP,West Bengal and Maharashtra. None of the trains running to and from the State capitals of Southern India seem to run at speeds of the order of 140/150/160 kms per hour. In the budget presented to Parliament in Feb.2015, you announced introduction of OVERNIGHT SUPERFAST TRAINS CONNECTING THE METROS. I wrote to you several times inquiring about the date of introduction of such trains. I did not get any reply. May I know the present status of the introduction of such Inter-Metro Super Speed trains. Rail users want to know as to why the proposal could not be implemented even after elapse of one year.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
G.Balasubramanian
Expecting to hear from you shortly.
