RE: [World Malayali Club] Reservation

Am born in an orthodox utter poor Brahmin family in 50s in a remote village in south central India with my other nine siblings where 3 sisters are to be married. Father expired while I was too young at my 8 years of age, with no support; I was forced to take up whatever came on my way to meet my and family' basic requirements such as food while elders left the village in search of mediocre jobs due to no money to peruse education since at that time also, we got to pay monthly fee, a huge sum to our reach to pay for the Government schools.
Almost reached to a level a begging in the streets, one fine day moved to a bigger city for better earnings at the age of 10. Done everything came in my way while continuing studies as much as I can. No reservation, no asking/begging anyone. Joined in a job with a meager amount of Rs. 120.0 month in 1970 and with sheer hard work, ambition, dedication reached to a stage where I have my own house, education to children etc.
Is it my mistake to be born in an Upper cast family??
Today, am above caste, creed and religion and brought up my children in the same way.
Why am saying this that today at 65 still am working in Middle East with reasonable income. But never asked/obtained for any favor from Government since I know nothing will come to me just because am born Upper Class is the only reason. But I paid a hefty sum towards direct or indirect taxes all my life. In this June, on vacation, I wanted to apply an AADHAR card. On approaching the concerned Department the reply was to come back after 3 months that I cannot wait since I have to get back to work in ME. Once I came out one person approached me and said if I pay Rs. 1,500 he will fix it. Since there is no other way out, have decided better to pay and get things done, instead of showing heroism like a filmy hero resulted now having an AAdhar card.
Many struggles, hardship and mental agony has been seen and undergone, but at the end, the reason of writing my life as an example is not to gain any appreciation from any quarter but to let the public know about the plight of a common Indian born in upper class caste. Whereas my classmate/s who were born in so called lower casts were given reservations at every level from education to jobs that is being enjoyed even today by their great grand children that am seeing although they are socially/financially better than me by 1000 times. Have seen many families who are born in upper class cast are in dire situation.
Therefore, as discussed in this platform, I too recommend talent based preference/importance/reservation rather than cast based is a must in India. The current law on reservation system in India should be scrapped or abolished.
